Calendar Photo Contest Rules & Entry Form
Blue Barn Pet & Hobby Farm will be publishing a 2025 calendar to be sold in the fall of 2024 as a fundraiser for local charities. (Scroll to the bottom of the page to see who will benefit from the proceeds.)
To gather photos for the calendar, we’re holding a photo contest!
- To enter, complete the entry form below. There is no entry fee.
- Entries must be received by May 31st, 2024.
- Entries are not limited per person but only one photo may be submitted with each form.
- Entries may be colour or black-and-white digital photographs. Winners must submit original material for reproduction purposes, so that the winning pictures may be published. When completing the entry form below, digital entries must be uploaded electronically as .jpeg, .png, .gif, or .pdf file types. Files should be at least 1.5 MB in size. The photographer must own all rights to any photographs entered.
- Photos that have previously won a photo contest are not eligible.
- Each photographer is eligible to win, at most, one entry.
- The names of the winners will be announced and published in September of 2024 via our social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and on our website.
- Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not redeemable for cash.
- By submitting photos via the online form or email, the photographer grants Blue Barn Pet & Hobby Farm the right to publish the photographer’s winning entry along with the photographer’s name in a future Blue Barn News Release celebrating all contest winners. The photographer will not receive further compensation for such publication. Winners also agree that without further payment, their winning photograph entry may be used in print or electronic form to promote future Blue Barn photo contests or other promotional endeavours.
- ELIGIBILITY: The Blue Barn Calendar Photo Contest is open to anyone 16 years of age or older. Professional and semi-professional photographers (or any photographers who earn money selling their photographs) are eligible and welcome to enter. Only the photographer has the right to submit a photograph. Prizes will be awarded to the photographers.
- JUDGING: Entries will be judged by a panel to be appointed by Blue Barn Pet & Hobby Farm. The decisions of the judges are final. Winners will be notified by telephone, and/or e-mail. By submitting the online entry form, the photographer consents to the entry of his or her submission and agrees to abide by the contest rules.
- PRIZES: Judges will choose three overall winners of all images submitted and award prizes as follows: First Prize, $300 Blue Barn gift card. Second Prize, $200 Blue Barn gift card. Third Prize, $100 Blue Barn gift card. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and may not be exchanged for cash.
